A 32-year History
1978 Kernic Equipment Sales Ltd. was established in Burlington, Ontario. Kernic operated as a manufactures representative for prominent North American manufacturers such as Rapistan Conveyors, Southworth Products and Frommelt Dock Systems
1984 Kernic purchased Baling Systems Ltd. a recycling equipment dealer for Maren Engineering Corporation and Blower Application Company
1984 Kernic purchased the Van Norman Historical property located in Burlington, Ontario and moved it’s office operations into the historical home
1988 Kernic opened its new manufacturing facility at the Century Drive, Van Norman property. Kernic subsequently signed Canadian manufacturing agreements with Maren Engineering Corporation and Southworth Products
1989 Kernic USA Inc. was formed and a manufactures license agreement was signed with Contamination Control Corporation in Maple Plain, Minnesota. Kernic sold the first Canadian manufactured "Blue Box” Trim Waste Removal System to St. Joseph Printing (Toronto)
1992 Kernic signed an agreement with Allegheny Paper Shredders Corporation of Delmont, PA to market their heavy duty high volume industrial Paper Shredders to the Canadian market
1998 Kine Corporation was formed and purchased Maren Engineering Corporation of South Holland, IL. Subsequently all Maren Baler and Shredder manufacturing was transferred to the South Holland facility
2005 Kernic sold the Century Drive facility. During this period Kernic Equipment evolved into a Engineered system provider and changed the name to Kernic Systems, Inc.
2009 Kernic expanded it’s successful material handling division to include packaging systems and supplies. This expanded division has the ability to design, engineer, install and service all types of packaging equipment.
